About us

St. John’s Lutheran Church, Bundaberg, is a community of Christians “Celebrating Life in Jesus, Growing in Faith, Sharing his Love” .  We are a member congregation of the Lutheran Church of Australia.  The congregation was established in 1877 and has a long and rich history of worship, service, nurture and witness within the Bundaberg community.

We welcome persons of all ages, stages and backgrounds to our Sunday worship services and into the life of our community of faith.  A range of small groups also exist for friendship, care and spiritual support of our members and friends, and large fellowship events are held from time to time. We also have an organised system of community care which supports those who are aged, homebound or hospitalised.

In addition, we have a special relationship with Gracehaven, an aged care facility that was originally established by the congregation (now operated by Churches of Christ Care).  A weekly Sunday morning service is provided for residents of Gracehaven.

We also have a special link with St. John’s Lutheran Primary School, which is immediately adjacent to the church building.

For directions to St. John’s or for contact details, see here.
